Visually impaired children are mainly divided into two categories
(1) partially sighted children and
(2) severely visually impaired children

1. Partially visually impaired children - Partially visually impaired children are called  , which can read the printed text in capital letters or with the help of a convex mirror.  Their vision capacity (20 to 70) is in the best eye.  It can see up to a distance of 20 feet.  A normal person can see up to a distance of 70 feet.  Vision is reduced due to some disease.  Partially visually impaired children are those who, although they have severe visual impairment, can still read.  Children in this group can be divided into four parts
(1) Such children, whose visual acuity is between 20/70 and 20/200.
  (2) Children who suffer from severe and progressive visual difficulties
(3) Children who suffer from diseases of the eyes or diseases affecting the vision.  Such children, who are not included in the above children and who have more brain and who according to doctors and educationists can be more benefited by the means and goods given to the children who have less vision.  Partially visually impaired children -

(1) The best method is to take good medical examination of all the children.  Also get your eyes tested.  The test must be taken before entering the school.  It should be taken even after admission.
  (2) Where the above method cannot be adopted, there may also be a visual screening test.  This work can be done by doctors, nurses, teachers.  It is the duty of the School Health Services Department to make arrangements for testing.  Must see it.  The reaction of the child should also be observed.
(3) Parents should also get their child medically examined.  If they do not do this, then the school health department should give directions in this direction, get the children comprehensive health examination done. 

2. Severely Visually Impaired Children - Severely Visually Impaired children can read with brain script 7 people are considered blind for academic work, when their vision is acute 20/200.  Even if it is less than this or if there is any other similar disability, the person is considered blind.  The blind child has to depend completely on his senses of hearing.  People who have very little vision.  They can distinguish colors.  To consider a person completely blind (blind) only when the doctor has told him such a condition.  Wearing glasses as prescribed by the doctor can improve their vision.  It is also necessary to get the eyes tested from time to time.  It is known from this.  Whether the condition of the eyes has improved or not.  The teacher must see whether the child is wearing glasses or not, whether the glasses are in good condition or not.  If the child's eyes can be repaired by the operation, then so should it be.  Since the blind child is always dependent on his other senses, the health of his other senses should be taken care of.
