(Meaning of Institutional Planning) In order for the school work to run well, progress on the path, it is necessary that plans should be made in the schools, which can later become the basis of state and national level plans.
Two things are taken care of in these types of plans:

(1) What are our goals?
(2) What resources are available

Features of Incentive and Leadership Institutional Planning:-
(1 ) Specificity – Institutional plans are according to the means, needs and objectives of the particular institution.

2. Democratic - Due to the proper representation of the headmaster, teacher and students, it is very helpful in the development of democratic values ​​in institutional planning.

3. Inspiring - The ability to provide inspiration is inherent in institutional planning.  Being based on everyone's cooperation, everyone starts taking interest in its success.

4. Realistic - Institutional planning is realistic and practical as it is made by local people on the basis of felt needs.

5. Goal Directed – Institutional planning is a goal directed process.  In this, efforts are made to achieve national and institutional goals.

6. Flexible - It is possible to make changes in the institutional plan as per the need of the time.

7. Based on Improvement and Modification - Improvement and development and progress in school programs are the main elements in every institutional plan.

8. Time Bound – Institutional plans are usually made for short term like one week, one formula or one year and long term like for 2 years, 5 years or 10 years.  According to this, an attempt is made to achieve a certain quantity in a given time.

10. Necessity Based - In institutional planning, institutional planning is done after ascertaining the need in the organization, management, teaching and other areas of the school.

11. Utilization of Resources – In the institutional plan, efforts are made to make maximum possible use of the resources available with the school.

12. Utility - In the institutional plan only those works are done whose utility is for the students, teachers and the community.  Implementation of the institutional plan increases the utility of the school.  Special emphasis is laid by the school on more social service and educational and moral development of the students.

13. Based on Co-operation – In institutional planning, adequate cooperation of school and community is obtained from all.
